Kendall Jenner proved that she has what it takes to make it in the modeling world on this season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and now, Kim Kardashian‘s leggy little sis is enjoying the fruits of her hard labor with yet another new campaign. Jenner was just announced as the face of Australian swimwear designer Leah Madden’s summer 2012 campaign, titled “Pirouette.”

Kardashian made the announcement on her website this week, sharing a behind-the-scenes shot of Jenner modeling some high-waisted bikini bottoms and a bandeau top from the line. “How stunning does she look!?!?” Kardashian wrote. “I couldn’t be more proud!!!!” This marks Jenner’s second foray into the world of swimsuit modeling: last summer, she posed for some sexy photos in Malibu that ended up causing a bit of controversy.

Exploring thehot  Beaches of Indonesia

dream

Dreamland Beach

Dreamland Beach is located on the island of Bali, on its Bukit Peninsula.  Dreamland Beach is the biggest white sand beach on its peninsula. It is an ideal place for surfers, with its high waves, but not the best for snorkeling. Though relatively developed, it is not as crowded as some of the other beaches in the area. Dreamland is a famous, beautiful beach, but people should be careful of its dangerous shorebreak.
h

Kuta

Kuta is a former small fishing town that has turned into a big tourist destination. It is also located in Bali. It has a long sandy beach, and there is a good deal of development located in proximity. Many Australian surfers come up to Kuta for sport. Unfortunately there have been some terrorist attacks on Kuta within the past 10 years, but of course such instances are rare.
jim

Jimbaran

Jimbaran exists as both a large tourist resort area and fishing village, and it is located south of Kuta, on the “neck” of the peninsula. It is famous for its seafood restaurants and kiosks. The bay has lots of white sand that is great for swimming, and the shore hosts an excellent sunset. Though there is development, there is hardly any nightlife around Jimbaran.

pra

Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands is located north of Jakarta, off into the Java Sea. There are not actually 1,000 islands but 105, on a chain that stretches over 45 kilometers. Some of these islands are privately owned or devoted to resorts, but others are open to the public; some are even uninhabited. One nice island is called Pramuka Island, which is public. Lots of children commute to schools on this island, and you can watch them get out from class and take boats to go back to their home islands. It has great diving and snorkeling resources as well.
weh

Weh Island

Weh Island is located northwest of Sumatra, on the Andaman Sea, and is a small active volcano island. It has a few beautiful beaches with diving and scuba resources, especially around the town of Iboih; there is a great coral reef to explore. The tsunami in 2004 affected the ecosystem around Weh Island, but much is still intact.

Bira Beach

Bira Beach is located in Sulawesi, and it has many coconut palms around the white sand beaches. It is quite the tourist spot, but many of the tourists are from elsewhere in Indonesia (not as many westerners). Sometimes goats even make it down to Bira Beach! Its water tends to be shallow, and there are amazing areas for scuba diving and snorkeling to look at the wonderful coral reef and sea creatures.

Hots Beach in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia

Hots Beach in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
bali
Denpasar is the largest city on the Indonesian island of Bali, and it is the gateway for exploring this popular tourist island and its beautiful beaches. It is a bustling, multicultural city teeming with hidden treasures worth checking out even if you came here primarily for those beaches.
With a population just under half a million people, Denpasar is no small town. First time visitors might even feel a little intimidated by its energy and pace. Many are surprised by just how much there is to see and do in the city. Don’t just come through here on your way to experience the rest of Bali. Stay a while, you won’t regret it!
Of course, Bali is a haven for shoppers of all varieties, and Denpasar is no exception. All kinds of beautiful Balinese handicrafts are represented in local shops, including the famous batik cloth which are as beautiful as they are cheap. The jewelry district is in a town called Celuk. Here you will find rows and rows of silversmiths’ and goldsmiths’ shops selling jewelery at very low prices too.
Of course, not far from Denpasar are Bali’s many beaches and resorts. White sandy beaches are famous all over the island, with some of the famous surfing beaches being Kuta Beach, Legian Beach and Canggu Beach. Sanur beach, meanwhile, has calmer waters and is excellent for sunbathing.
The city is easily accessible via the Ngurah Rai International Airport, which is also just 10 minutes from the town of Kuta, which is where most of the hotels, restaurants, malls, cafes, marketplaces, and spas that cater to tourists are located.
Denpasar itself is off the beaten tourist track, so you can get a far better idea of the local culture by being here. You’ll want to scope out all of the local temples and museums, which are all within short distance of one another. Despite being a Mecca for tourists, many of Denpasar’s temples are extremely authentic and are not used to having foreign visitors. So when you visit, you might want to bring your own sarong and sash, just to be safe and fit in with the locals. After all, it’s the best way to have a genuine experience of the place and the culture.
It is worth finding information from the official Tourism Office about scheduled cultural events in Denpasar. These are many and varied and include, dance, puppet theater and art exhibitions.
On top of it all, people in Denpasar are friendly and helpful, and in spite the initial intimidation you might feel upon arriving, it is sure to subside in no time. It’s the perfect place to balance out the international flavors of Bali’s tourism industry with a local, authentic experience of the local people and another way of life. Perfect for the expat!
